"At A Brighter Light, our mission is to raise national awareness and provide free education, suicide prevention, intervention, and life-saving treatment. We believe every person deserves hope, help, and the chance to find meaning, connection, and the joy of living."
Terry's story begins with her beloved son, Matthew, whose bright spirit and boundless love touched everyone who knew him. Tragically, Matthew died by suicide at a young age, a loss that forever changed Terry's life.
Major Josh Lewis with the Riviera Beach Police Department explains the importance of suicide intervention, education, and training, as well as access to treatment for first responders. Drawing from his professional experience, Major Lewis highlights the unique pressures faced by those who serve on the front lines and emphasizes why early awareness, proper training, and ongoing support are critical to saving lives. His message reinforces the need to ensure that those who protect our communities are never left to struggle in silence.

In America, suicide continues to affect individuals, families, and entire communities. Too often, people suffer in silence, believing they are alone. We exist to change that. Through our national awareness campaign, we are working every day to remind people that hope is real, help is available, and every life matters.

Community Events - Hosting and supporting events nationwide to open conversations about mental health and suicide prevention in a supportive, judgement-free environment.

Social Media Campaigns - Sharing stories of hope, mental health education, and life - saving resources across platforms to reach people where they are - every day.

Televised & Digital Advertising - Broadcasting powerful messages of encouragement and awareness to millions of households, helping break stigma and point individuals to resources and support.
